Hey all.
Its been a while since my last newsletter and I just wanted to say hi and tell you about the new batch of Garden Guardians I just dropped off at the Maine Craft Association in Portland. You may notice some changes in the 2021 Guardians. 1st off, I’ve change the concrete mix. It is now heavier and stronger and definitely more durable.
Also, I am using the color more sparingly. I want the pieces to breath and the natural color of the concrete to be part of the color palette.
Just know that, like most color, it will be effected by the elements and if you really love the color and design of the planter, you may want to limit the exposure to the elements by keeping them inside or on a porch.
However, I really like them out in the Garden. I like how they do slowly change over time. I like how nature adds some of its own natural patina. It is somewhat unpredictable and I believe it makes it interesting.
I am redoing the LuLu and Pan moulds. They will be revealed soon. Also, stay tuned, I have some new projects that I will be revealing soon.
